Main functions of the Planning and Research Division:
1. Study and analyze the investment needs of the city, and provide recommendations to relevant agencies.
2. Develop necessary investment projects and programs.
3. Develop estimates of economic costs, profits, and future investment projections, and prepare investment reports.
4. Prepare work reports on the progress of ongoing projects by sector, district, and work area and demonstrate them to the management.
5. Arrange the implementation of measures to achieve the policy goals of the Government of Mongolia and the action plan.
6. Ensure compliance with orders of the mayor.
7. Arrange the execution of city council resolutions, decisions, and policy objectives.
8. Study and resolve issues arising in the implementation of construction and engineering works.
9. Study successful investment projects and programs implemented in abroad.
10. Plan and organize the department’s international relations activities.
11. Other duties as required.
